Every time I’m trying to change my name & gender to new details they assume I’m a trans woman so I have to explain & it’s anxiety inducing. I’m so glad I pass, I know I’m fortunate to have this privilege but also I really hope trans women are given the respect they deserve in these situations

I sent three bits of paperwork regarding my name and gender change, a letter from my doc saying my gender is permanent, my deed poll showing my new name and a recent payslip to show that name being used on official documents and that seemed to go through with no issues or push back!

Sir Tedward and Hector the squire investigated a “haunted” graveyard, were chased by crows and tormented by the god of Fashion. Good time!
Almost finished The Sprit Bares its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White. It’s a historical fantasy which includes body horror, ghosts and has a trans protagonist. Incredibly unsettling and I can feel the anger in the narration. Incredible stuff.
So my New Year’s resolution is to spend my evenings reading for an hour. Usually the hour before bed. Thought I’d also document what I’m reading. A Thread.
This is the much preferred thing to do to be honest with all media, when I have my own place with better storage it’s something I’d love to invest in properly.
You can switch to Tidal, it takes less than ten minutes and you switch incredibly easy. Honestly I should have done it years ago.
Playing Dispatch and I’m obsessed. Can’t believe I’ve only got 3 episodes left. I don’t ever want this game to end.
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.
It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.
It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.
Transgender care saves lives.
You can't set a limit on who writes what. But you can remind folks that the real world oppression and exclusion of LGBTQ+ folks is ongoing, so supporting queer authors is likely far more helpful at ground level than focusing on books that feature one MM kiss written by a straight guy.
