You know I genuinely thought the recent skybound issue would be divisive, but it's been surprisingly more civil and unified than expected.
Shame it's around something negative, but it's nice to see most folks united on a front for once.
@drlockdown
Shit-tier youtuber who reviews Transformers, and sometimes movies, TV and games. Hopelessly in love with @emjay.fish AKA @carsmani.ac. He/him. Pan. Musician. C/rypto bros & A/I Art blocked on sight. youtube.com/drlockdown

One personal ick I have with transformers character designs (both personal and fan crafted) is when they don't look like they transform.
When they just look like...dudes.
That's what other mech series are for. Might be a me thing, but kibble MAKES transformers.
It was a while ago. Just taught me to be extra careful.
But lately it seems like any and all anonymity and privacy is being thrown out the window, so companies can create the perfect digital footprint.
I've had a stalker follow me around for months.
I've had my home address leaked and letters mailed to me telling me to take my own life.
That has to be from a sale I made in the past because I don't give out my address willingly.
But fuck anonymity and privacy I suppose.
Even politely trying to ask for a complaint to be escalated (making it clear the person isn't at fault)...nope. Doesn't even platitude and say "I'll try". Just "I understand but you need to surrender your home residence for ebay policy" (paraphrasing).
Fuck me I guess.
Fucking furious at Ebay ATM. Trying to get something sent and they keep insisting I use my residential address instead of my postal one because "it's too long".
Explain I've had doxxing and stalking issues, nothing. "Consistency" over personal safety.
Not really gonna be active on social media the next two days.
Skybound drops today, and knowing what happens, don't wanna participate in the 'discourse' (its gonna be insufferable).
Hope I'm wrong. Hope y'all enjoy it, and I'm the only one who hates the issue.
Oh god I forgot that was a thing.
Nah I was thinking ai bros on social media, but that's even worse.
Never got the whole "oh it's only extended by AI, it's an original photo and the edges were made bigger with AI" nonsense.
That's still AI dipshit. You've just served a real photo on a plate made out of feces. It doesn't make it acceptable.
As of right now, all the audio has also been edited.
Just filming and visual editing left.
Finish line incoming (plus however long it takes for copyright clearance).
They're reissuing him soon I think.
Pictured; a toy that cops a lot of Flak.
Just finding out the Carpenter Brut has been using AI in his music videos, and probably other places too.
Honestly feel kinda cross. Been jamming out to his recent album, but now...I dunno.
Can this bubble just burst already? I'm sick of plagiarism algorithms everywhere.
Kings comics.
Gamesmen also has him.
Overdue Void Rivals pickup, because I changed my email in the system and they forgot to send me the pickup notice lmao.
Also Kranix I guess. He's quite nice. Very solid and tight. Expected to hate the alt mode, but I surprisingly don't. Just needs more jet details (hello @toyhax.com).
Its annoying, and I apologise, but unfortunately its out of my control. When its done, I will be in the hands of the licensor until I can have the video approved.
Not gonna take the music out. The idea I had for it needs it, and I promise it'll be worth it in the end.
Part of the video includes licensed music. So although I'm confident in my ability to finish the video, I'm not confident in how fast the licensor will actually approve it.
This is why I haven't started another countdown, and probably won't. I just don't know if it'll be quick.
So, some of you might be curious as to why I haven't locked in a solid date for the Legacy Video.
Truth be told, I do sorta have a solid date; two weeks from now. I reckon the last few bits will be 100% done by then.
There's...just one problem. Copyright.
Behold! The diarrhea sword!
That does sound adorable.
Not sure if it's a "me" game, but definitely thank you for explaining the appeal. Didn't really gleam much from the trailers.
That makes...not a lot of sense.
Mad...max?
Okay I keep seeing "Pokopia is peak" posts over and over again.
In what way is it peak? Without being spoilery, what's peak about it?
The customisability? The lore? Is it secretly super dark and existential? Is there a heartwarming story like mystery dungeon?
What is it hiding?
Those aren't a whole combiner. They're single-figure redos, and ones a retool.
Plus they're shifting back to G1 toon a lot. I don't know if it's feasible at the moment.
Who would you want next in the 'new' combiner style?
I hear Predaking is apparently next on the block (nothing concrete yet tho), but honestly I'd love to see a Defensor. CW one always deeply disappointed me.
A Megatronia would also be nice, but nah that's NEVER happening.
Individual combiner members don't often get the spotlight, due to the whole taking most of the focus.
But for me, Shouki will always hold a special place. Possibly because of the restoration stickers, but still...what a tumbly fun train bro.
One of these things is not like the other.
With the 'big project', been trying to get as many big group shots as I can in.
Talk about a team that rocks.
Anyone else feel like base modes are a bit of a lost art?
Whenever Hasbro does them these days, they feel tacked-on and/or not as good as their G1 counterparts (especially with the combiners).
Omega Prime feels like an exception. Outside of that, they seem like not a priority.
