My project, A Sign in Space, inspired a new book for young people. The UFO Files (Quarto, 2025) tells the story of the arrival of an alien spaceship. The book merges a science fiction story with nonfiction sidebars about SETI, rocket science, AI, and more.

One year ago today, Ken and Keli Chaffin, a father-daugther team from the US, sent me the correct decoding of the message designed for A Sign in Space. The solution required more than 3,000 hours work by Ken and Keli, and their interpretation efforts are ongoing. #asigninspace
