The last, best description of Trump from British writer Nate White.
I’m hosting a series of environment-themed poetry events at Manchester Poetry Library this Spring. Poets discussing place, creatures, ecological peril and how to engage with these themes (+ more). Supported by the Poetry Research Group & @centreplacewriting.bsky.social www.mmu.ac.uk/poetry-libra...
Jason has been out coppicing so we have bean poles again - 8ft, 6ft + 4ft flower stakes and pea sticks.
Note: he doesn’t use a chain saw for cutting hazel, but I like the photo and couldn’t find one of him dressing out with a billhook.
A new week: open Wed-Sat 10-5, Sunday 12-5.
Plant treasure, the best peat free growing media, pots, Niwaki tools, gifts.

Cat mad and plant mad Sue. If there was a ‘Best Garden Centre Customers’ competition, we’d win.
Great opening weekend, thanks Buddists! More of the same from Wednesday. Here’s ’our’ Robin, papped by the brilliant Tamzin Forster.
Oh I will; can’t help myself!
There's a campaign to stop the sale of plastic grass; perhaps this sort of nonsense should be included.
It's lichen :-)
Me too. Needs to be banned!
I hope you’ve learned your lesson 😆
RHS Bridgewater; a limited colour palette but still worth it.
Kinder Scout on Saturday. You can read about the NT’s peat restoration work on Kinder: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/peak-d...
Be more like Bents, they* said.
*I moaned in November about a very quiet week, which the M.E.N ran a story on. Oh the comments by the trolls.
Why isn’t this illegal?

Lovely to see the first of my pieces for @gardenersworldmag.bsky.social Make a Metre Matter environmental campaign in the March edition. Launch today at the Garden Press Event #MakeaMetreMatter
It’s cold and sunny in Manchester. Sunny! Things are happening at the garden centre; an awakening that builds week on week.
However, I do feel listless and am struggling to write my monthly newsletter: this is Bud’s 15th year (😝) and I feel like I’m rehashing the same old stuff.
We’re reopening on Thursday 27th Feb. We always have a winter break because… it’s cold in winter in Manchester and I don’t want to attract people to my business by selling shite made in the far east or with the promise of coffee and cake.
Bergs Potter pots, summer ‘24.
Thanks. I prefer human contact, though I know that I’d make more money selling online. I can’t imagine spending my days putting stuff in boxes 😬
Ooo, bumbarrels! One of my favourite birds flitting through today's @theguardian.com country diary by Jim Perrin.

About Bud. Yeah, basically screenshotted an Instagram post. What’s a busy person to do?
We’re reopening on Thursday 27th Feb at 10am.
Boycott Amazon.
He’s just a wonderful little creature 😍 and I adore him!
That’s just too cute, Pete!
Thank you 😊
We don’t, keepin’ it real, sorry.

My pud, Phife Dawg: new, like me, to Bluesky.
Open Gardens Burnage & Levenshulme 1st June (and perhaps 31st May too). Here’s a fantastic tropical yard in Lev, open for the first time in 2023 and hopefully open again in 2025 🤞
A long shot, but I'm after some tech support (paid!). We've launched a new website. Issue is (roughly): "We are unable to use #Office365 to send custom emails via #laravel #php app. And/or O365 is not allowing us to create app password in Microsoft admin manager" Tried reddit/forums etc. Pse RT
