I don’t have enough hats to tip for the bold move that @carpentries.carpentries.org just made.
How coooooool!!!!!!! Cannot wait to download and look into this data as a side project.
I had a fantastic time at #BNA2025! I was grateful for the opportunity to present one of my DPhil projects and truly honoured to be selected for a flash talk to showcase my poster.
Now back to submitting my cluster jobs and being in the lab doing the molecular bits.
Organoids (and certainly not AI) are nowhere near as rigorous or reproducible as animal models. This won’t lower drug prices bc the main cost is the human clinical trial. If anything it will R&D costs by encouraging companies to pursue Phase 1 trials on shoddily validated preclinical assets
One lesson I have learned over the last 6 months doing mostly bioinformatics is to never call a folder “Final data” ever again 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
@jfcryan.bsky.social What a wonderful talk at #BrainConf2025 yesterday!
Thank you for the amazing conversation about scepticism on the gut-brain axis and the many ways to target brain health via the gut.
Beautiful talk from @mauramalpetti.bsky.social investigating neuroinflammation in front temporal dementia. @braincomms.bsky.social @brain1878.bsky.social
Head to poster B451 #CellBio24 to see some bioinformatics I have been doing over the last two months (presented by BlueSky-less Dr. Jacek Szymanski - postdoc from the lab I am doing my PhD in).
Applications are open for the James McCune Smith (JMS) Scholarships here
