the worst thing about making original art is knowing that nothing you can ever make will be as funny or brainrotting as youtube poop. an entire room of the world's greatest writers could never come up with a line like "it took me nine yeareals to collect the cereals"

playing super mario 3D land rn. I find it funny that it unironically has way better world-to-world pacing than most of the 2D games it's replicating. only about 5 or 6 stages and you're on to the next part

we do not need 8+ (eight plus) stages per world man that shit's just running a marathon

what doesn't help is that it's mandatory to play if you want to get to the true arena and actually finish the game. there's other extra modes in kirby games that technically have less but this one just actively fails at what it's trying to do imo

it tries to be a hard mode which I actually don't mind on paper, it only amounts to a smaller health bar, which is completely negated by the game still giving you more food than you'll ever need. they also only pay lip service to the idea of harder enemy placements

EX bosses are neat but that's it
