Almost didn't write it for that reason. π

Phenomenal.
High points Damaris and Hymn of the Haar.
New album work sounds very good.
Technical hitches a bit annoying.
Not even realistic to not expect mistakes. Content might be too easy if you have few mistakes. Even Rosenshine's dubious 80% implies mistakes. If design with variation and counter-examples *conflict* will happen, and it's for the better. www.annualreviews.org/content/jour...
Very excited to see Patrick Wolf soon.
This was phenomenal. Great voice, great variety in guitar playing, great lyrics. I channeled my George Boomsma in "two ships passing". I hope you get your narrowboat soon @KatherinePriddy
ristol is a very nice city. Here for @KatherinePriddy - Bristol Folk Festival
Devolution almost never delivers its promises. It gives local politicians a sense of self-importance, but practically often means doing more locally with less money.
I think it's strange that local actions in Eastleigh are postponed for a year because of "devolution and local government reorganisation".
At the fourth Festival of Open Research at @unisouthampton
#ukrn - speakers in the morning session were Gavin Buckingham from Exeter and Simon Kolstoe from Portsmouth.
Will ask for the slides. π

Yes, sorry.
I really considered it, but after 3-4 weeks Japan, coming back 13 March, really couldn't do it. π
Well, in June 2014, when Greg was still anonymous, we communicated about both Bryan etc al., as well as our 2014 article on algorithms which cited it link.springer.com/article/10.1...
I guess we agreed on several things then, but don't tell anyone! π
Oh well, it reads like someone who agrees but doesn't really like agreeing.
I'm in Japan for the EJEME project, which works on co-designing digital mathematics books.
Will try to post some more. Sorry, still not built BlueSky routine.
www.tes.com/magazine/tea... a very interesting article by Professor @cbokhove.bsky.social on @tesmagazine.bsky.social

@cbokhove.bsky.social says learning from other countries' education systems has to involve seeing whatβs really happening inside their classrooms

Excited to go to Japan on Saturday for a project on digital mathematics books.
Last night got tickets for the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo. π
I'm addicted to car rebuild channels now.
That means there still is accountability, but it's less 'in your face'. There also should be no political appointments, although inspection itself should be accountable to a department of education.
