i remember being frustrated with her until i figured out the ‘go for a ride trick.’ i wouldn’t say i looked forward to storms after puzzling it out, but it was fun helping her chill out
now it’s storming and i’d just give anything to toss her in the back and drive around with her again
when cocoa was around, any amount of thunder during storms would set her off into a multi-hour freakout which was always nightmarish until i figured out she just wanted to go for a ride in the car for 15 minutes to chill out. then we’d just park in the grocery store parking garage until it blew over
me as i stay up all night to flip my sleep schedule back to the graveyard shift
