I think that’s the case w most creatives in real life, but movies have to simplify it to “creative block = staring at a blank page/canvas etc”

Every time there’s a novelist in a movie that has to write a follow up, but they have writers block and just can’t seem to get past the first page; always rings false to me because every writer I know has a huge backlog of ideas they are sitting on just waiting until they have time to work on them.

I’m sure there’s better things you could do with a time machine, but the first thing I’d do is go back and warn RZA that his basement was about to flood.

Nice! If it’s completely dry a full disassemble and cleaning is the only fix. The “suck method” works “great” for the clogs that wont clear by shaking/tapping/swearing but don’t want to take it apart to fix.

When I get a clog in one of these I suck it and spit it out like snake bite venom. It’s fucking gross, but it works. Art without suffering and all that.

Awesome! Yeah I did a huge deep dive on early post punk recently. I love all those bands plus the chameleons, red lorry yellow lorry, etc etc here’s a playlist of my favs. It’s modern stuff I feel I have a blind spot for. Also if there’s good locals let me know

I don’t know what post punk even means, but I do know I like a ton of bands that describe themselves as post punk. So I guess that means I’m “into” post punk. Gimme some recs if you got em. Current(ish) preferred.

The dog in “The Cell” is named “Valentine” so that means it’s a Valentine’s Day movie.

Such a great band! Discovered them last year during a Chicago visit. And yes I have impeccable taste
