Polish the bones, meditate on your conquests, and curse the existence of tracking hellebore cannons.

I WENT TO THE DOCTOR, AND THE DOCTOR, HE SAID TO ME, SIR, JUFFO-WUP, IT IS COMPLETELY FILLING IN YOUR FIBERS, SIR. YOUR FIBERS. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT SIR. AND SO I GROW TURGID, LIKE NOBODY HAS BEFORE, VERY TURGID, AND WE’RE GOING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. MAYBE VIOLENT ACTION WILL ENSUE

It's funny - thinking about my thoughts about college professors. There are some where I was incredibly unfair, but the FP/IR types honestly I wasn't derisive enough.

I got -out- of Foreign Policy in college because all of the professors I had drove me fucking insane.

so:
a. the Strait of Hormuz is def actually mined
b. they did ZERO planning for this
c. they're freaking out now that it's leaked to the press and trying to ensure us that 'no it's not'

@realDonaldTrump

If Iran has put out any mines in the Hormuz Strait, and we have no reports of them doing so, we want them removed, IMMEDIATELY! If for any reason mines were placed, and they are not removed forthwith, the Military consequences to Iran will be at a level never seen before. If, on the other hand, they remove what may have been placed, it will be a giant step in the right direction! Additionally, we are using the same Technology and Missile capabilities deployed against Drug Traffickers to permanently eliminate any boat or ship attempting to mine the Hormuz Strait. They will be dealt with quickly and violently. BEWARE! President DONALD J. TRUMP

It's hard to say. Detention numbers are down significantly. We can't say exactly why for now (I have theories, as do others) but if the Homan/Lyons wing has convinced the White House that the Miller/Noem mass deportation pushes were bad politics, they may have finally found the brake pedal.

ICE detention peaked at roughly 73,000 people in custody in mid-January. Since then, my sources say total in detention has fallen to sub-63,000. That is a significant drop, reversing the trend back to where things were in early November.

I am deeply skeptical of any major changes, to be clear.

SCOOP: Federal judiciary approves new Supreme Court defender office to help represent indigent defendants at #SCOTUS.

Its full-time director will serve as a counterweight to the U.S. solicitor general in federal criminal cases. The first will be former Kagan clerk and SG atty Ashley Robertson.

Also.. I'm not sure this is true even then
