On Ofgemβs decision to grant Elon Muskβs Tesla Energy company a licence to supply electricity in Britain, Naomi Smith of Best for Britain: βWe all know the British public rightly view Elon Musk as a profoundly dangerous and malign influence, who belongs nowhere near our critical infrastructure."
Narrator: The Straits, in fact, were in Dire shape.
He's just discovered the word 'excursion', hasn't he?

These companies all settled lawsuits with Donald Trump by promising to donate as much as $63 MILLION to his presidential library.
But then, Trump dissolved a library fund.
So where'd the money go?
I'm pressing these CEOs for answers.
The last banknotes I have taken in our bookshop in Scotland bear images of frolicking otters, and the face of writer, poet and visionary hill-walker Nan Shepherd. The notes are objects of beauty and reflect the wild culture of Scotland. No wonder the right object to something so exquisite.
Such a bummer then the target of your 'epic fury' fights back, eh?
The most craven, vainglorious administration one could ever fear of trampling over one's timeline. Please someone, anyone deliver us of these people.
Maybe we can offer up Keir Starmer's head on a pike and Emma Barnett will ease up here #R4today
They will catch up down there at some point....
Small moments of pleasure, sheathed in your wallet. The 'Otter Tenner' is exquisite. I smile every time I pay. Kate Bush would sing songs about them. Why can't we have more playfulness? Badgers make one smile in a way politicians obviously don't. Stick it on a banknote.
Thank you.
When is this due, James? Could be a 'quiet bookselling day...'
Guy's been a ranting mess since the Gorton & Denton defeat....
It is a constant existential agony - wondering how many hours of your beautiful & precious time on earth to allow the foulest of humans & worst of ideologies to seep into your brain. The guys from originstorypodcast.bluesky.social make the ordeal educational & entertaining: universally accessible.

Let Jeremy Bowen keep talking #R4today... No need to go back to Justin in the studio...
At the most basic level of 'have some self-respect', Conservative MPs should not put forward someone who visibly is not intellectually equipped to be prime minister as their candidate to be prime minister.

βComically unqualified, intensely partisan, and unflaggingly devoted to whatever ridiculous thing bubbled out of Donald Trumpβs mouth five minutes agoβ - @paulwaldman.bsky.social unpacks the general traits of a prototype member of Trump cabinet - the worst in U.S. history. Via @atrupar.com
Mamdani seems to operate and communicate in a completely different political cosmos to the rest of America.
Just home from a gig in a care home with my shanty singing buddies 'The Solway Bouys'. Guy on front row promptly fell asleep. Another clapped out of time with gusto misaligned with his bony frame. One woman sang Britney Spears. And another swayed in reflective bliss. A wonderfully human experience.
I like these consequences some of the worst people on the planet are facing - a notable few still to go, but the axis is slowly bending...
More recommended reading from @mrjohncrace.bsky.social funny and incisive: a derisory eye-roll at current events in perfect prose.
The political and media voices calling for the government to instantly and unquestioningly get behind Donald Trumpβs plan-free war are increasingly out of step with UK public sentiment, it seems.
I'm glad Congress isn't alive to see this.
FOG The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over harbor and city on silent haunches and then moves on.
Good evening from me and Carl Sandburg.
The media line 'In a move likely to enrage Donald Trump' needs to be put out to grass sharpish...
