It didn't eat the tourists! That's a win.
I remember a friend of mine (and then later me) remarking on how just looking at our new shadows brought us joy.
This breaks my heart.
I read this a while back and remember enjoying it. Maybe not THE takeaway but I wish I had gotten into roller derby when younger.
A green parrot perches on a wooden stand in a pet store. A sign below the bird reads, βI bite Women! Only handle me if youβre a Man!β In the foreground, a personβs hand shows a small puncture wound, possibly from a bite. Pet toys and store shelves are visible in the background, along with two women browsing
I saw someone at Reddit refer to this as the gender affirming bird.

Gonna talk for a second about Nazis, Republicans, DrivethruRPG, that Star Wars game, and more importantly, my grandpa.
Bear with me, the edibles are just kicking in. Might be a little thread.
My uncle (111 M) gifted me (50 M) a ring before leaving to go travelling. A close family friend (2,019 M) told me to destroy the ring due to problematic associations with the jeweller who made it, but the ring is precious to me and I would feel guilty throwing it away. AITA?

Reading Kimmy and enjoying it so far. It's got a nice 'punchy' writing style mixed with body horror.

If you're a Star Trek fan but have never watched the Orville, I would recommend it. It might alter your opinion of his writing. I thought it would just be "Family Guy in Space," but I ended up liking it better than a lot of recent actual Trek.
I'll be watching this one within a week.
Here's a list of trans and Non-binary artists with cool art!!

In a world of instant gratification, it can be extremely difficult to remember that some things simply take *time.*
This year has been a marathon so far. You don't make it 26 miles if you stop running at the first signs of exhaustion. Sprinters don't finish the race.
Pacing is crucial.
That's the comment I was looking for! :D
When you have everyone's attention and forget where your story was goin
This is the best thing Iβve seen today and I need a source. Bluesky, please help. Credit to whoever this rad group is.
I forgot the site (one for reselling books) but I got someone the first 10 books as a gift. There's a nice beauty to the covers. :)
This has the feel of a Doctor Who monster. Something that attacks while wearing an uncanny smile.
Seeking beta readers for Transportation, a 14K urban fantasy set in Dallas. Thanks. :)
Transfem shapeshifter Alex just wanted to help her brother propose, but a psychic overload, a possessed bus ride, and a hungry shadowdemon make her unstable magic the least of her problems.
Happy to help! :D Thank you.
Small aside. I watched The Tolkien Edit of The Hobbit (two movies. First breaks just as they come from the river and see Bard). It's so much better.
By some coincidence I recently watched Star Wars (and Jurassic Park) in black and white.
I would like to be added please. Transfem, 80s fan, heavily into slashers/urban fantasy. Currently writing an urban fantasy set in Dallas about a shapeshifter that doesn't want or need her shapeshifting powers. Looking for more authors and author groups.
Thanks! :)
If you are a transgender writer I would love to include you in my Starter Pack!
Reply to this post or DM me to be included. Please share so that others know about the pack.
Absolutely! It did a masterful job of setting up the tension. You saw that wire and knew it was coming... and then it came.
BOING! :)
A humorous Tumblr-style text post. The first user, tentacleteapot, says: "your unreliable narrator fucking bit me." The second user, charl0ttan, replies: "thats not how they told it." The post has 104,623 notes, and below it are standard Tumblr interaction icons (reply, reblog, like).

I just now confused that with Ghost Ship which has an AMAZING intro (the one with the wire).
Yeah... I LIKE dashes and try to use them where appropriate but yes, I use them. Semicolons? I have a fear of not using them properly, or that someone's going to think I made a typo I didn't catch.
