...as an aside, ppl often argue that we should do away with the word "transsexual". I personally do not think it will go away so long as many cis ppl & some intellectually/politically trans ppl are invested in deriding those of us who transition as "regressive" & "reinforcing gender"!

personally speaking: i call myself a transsexual because i transsed my sex and think hrt should be available over the counter and don't use twitter
