Remember our history
A federal appeals court has ordered the Trump administration to “facilitate the return” of a 31-year-old Salvadoran man who was deported just minutes after the court had issued an order blocking his removal.
That part of the constitution specifically says “no person” it does not specify citizenship, and I firmly believe that was intentional by our founding fathers to protect our people from a time when the government might arbitrarily revoke citizenship, they would still be afforded due process.

Meant to mention this last week, but if you have a young person in your life who’s into history or graphic novels or just good books, buy them George Takei’s “They Called Us Enemy.” My oldest couldn’t put it down.
Hey Jack! I know Myrtle Beach is a little bit of a hike from Charleston, but we DO have a LowCountry Pink Pistols group, if you like to come hang out with us! I am working on getting our Bluesky account up and running, but you can come check us out over on the book of faces! We’d love to meet you!
Does cornbread and roses have a Bluesky?
It’s not just a policy violation, aiming directly at someone with a “less-lethal” weapon is assault with a deadly weapon. Just because a weapon is classified “less-lethal” does not, in any way, shape, or form negate the potential that weapon has for being lethal, or used with “deadly force.”
In the last 20 or so minutes I’ve seen LAPD officers shove women to the ground without provocation, rip a sign out of a man’s hand and then swing a baton into his leg and raise a less-lethal launcher to aim
directly at a protester (which I’m 99% is a major policy violation.)
I was glad to see the number of people turned out for this first gathering of EVERYDAY PEOPLE. I hope to see much more from them!
As dark as it may seem to many of us, I’m going to misquote Samwise Gamgee for a moment: There is still good in the world. We must not give up on it. But in order to do so we must fight for it.
