Starting to really toy with the idea of starting an actual play D&D or maybe Daggerheart podcast
I know I say this fairly often: people are right to complain concerts are too expensive, but they got that way because a lot of artists started to make almost no money out of their actual records. We have to look really hard at how we pay for music.
Do I enter the 5K in Toronto in October that I know I can do comfortably, or push myself and enter the half-marathon?
I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves. Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone. That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins. If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after. Sahar Delijani, Iranian author
I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own governmentโs repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.
I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.
Sahar Delijani said it best:
The number of people who's entire existence on this platform is sharing screenshots of Twitter and Truth Social posts is so incredibly irksome.
If I wanted to see those posts I would have a presence there
This War Will Destabilize The Entire Mideast Region And Set Off A Global Shockwave Of Anti-Americanism vs. No It Wonโt
I can't fucking believe we're doing this again.
Listening to @bloggeronpole.bsky.social chatting to @siridahl.com for the First Thirst podcast is such a joy.
Two of my fav creative forces of good getting to talk about early formative crushes is exactly what I needed this morning
I'm so stoked to play
If you need something to help you feel joy this morning - watch the Buddy Guy Tiny Desk concert that also has a special appearance from Miles Caton.
Thanks to @blsaycewrites.bsky.social for alerting the Ghouls group chat to this dropping

Seeing the UK Greens actually standing for something and growing in popularity is fantastic when compared to the Irish Greens who got into bed with the centre-right govt and flushed their principles down the drain
Ooooh love this ๐ฅ
Letz go even bigger and better,,, ALL Female US Olympians and Paralympian medalists are invited out to celebrate in Viva Las Vegas for the SHE GOT GAME Weekend ,,,

When I popped into @vinsyn.bsky.social Toronto store last year I got to have a great chat with the staff member who gushed over my choice to buy Femme on Blu-Ray - those moments are absolutely priceless.
One cool thing about unequivocally hating AI is that you will be proven right over and over again every single day
It annoys me so much that I have to manually tell search engines to not serve up AI drivel.
It should be opt in and not opt out
And especially after Warner Bros made the request to the BBC to cut that moment from the broadcast - that really shows how this was an intentional decision
Criterion releasing K Pop Demon Hunters is a net benefit for everyone - those who like the movie will get a really good home release of it, those who donโt care about the movie will benefit from Criterion having a certified money maker that they can use to help fund more obscure/niche releases
I do get bits of fomo feeling I'm missing out on life updates from friends but honestly that's not worth the negative drawbacks ๐
Once again removed Instagram from my phone - any time I notice my mental health dipping it is so directly correlated to the time I'm spending on that app.
I miss the days when it was just a photo sharing app between friends and people you knew directly.
Really gutted Canada did not get gold. They were the better team by far. It feels really shitty to lose on 3v3 OT
So fucking grim.
I really wish WhatsApp was not so popular here in Europe, trying to convince friends to jump to Signal or an equivalent is an Everest sized task.
I deleted FB years ago now, and I am honestly very close to fully deleting IG too - it does not give me any joy
Every day the film Idiocracy becomes less satirical and more accurate prophecy
Every time I watch the rugby it makes me more frustrated that football does not adopt the clock stopping while play stops rule
Gosh there are so many writers that constantly make me think "fuck - what a privilege to read this"

The fact it says "taking place after the events of the game" is concerning me given that there are multiple different endings for the game.
Honestly just set a tv show in Faerun and tell an individual story instead of latching it onto an existing IP
I like both and think they make each other richer.
I prefer the overall editing and cinematography of Bone Temple over 28YL but that's a personal preference thing over thinking one is necessarily better than the other.
