A colorful illustrated poster celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Bold text at the top reads, “It’s the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).” Below it is the message: “Disenfranchised Writers Voices believes we’re all stronger when we support everyone.” The center features a diverse group of cartoon-style characters, including a person in a wheelchair, a person with a guide dog, individuals of various races, genders, and body types—some using assistive technology. A sign on the right says “Support Disabilities Rights.” At the bottom is a website: disenfranchisedwritersvoices.org. The background features a gradient of teal to gold with an inclusion pride tree symbol on the left.
#OnThisDay in 1990, the ADA was signed into law—banning discrimination against people with disabilities in work, school, transit, and public life.
At Disenfranchised Writers Voices, we uplift marginalized stories—because when we support everyone, we all thrive.

Image with a beige background. Titled About the Founder. Circular image to the right has a photo of founder. Text readers: Tasha He (they/them) has always been deeply passionate about supporting others. With a love for reading, writing, and animals, they are dedicated to making a meaningful impact. As an auDHD individual with dysautonomia—including conditions such as POTS, hEDS, and MCAS—Tasha is a strong advocate for disability rights and representation. Recognizing the financial challenges that low-income writers face in self-publishing, they founded Disenfranchised Writers’ Voices Inc. to amplify the voices of disabled and low-income writers, ensuring their stories are heard.

This organization is made for you, then! ❤️I'm disabled and unable to work. I'm on assistance, but not SSDI yet. So I completely understand how difficult it is to survive with low-income. DWV now has a bluesky account @dwritersvoices.bsky.social !
Spread the word. #DisenfranchisedWritersVoices is coming. Want to help out? Message me. We still need another board member who can fill the role as treasurer. We also appreciate any donations for start-up costs and would love volunteers. 2/

I'm finally taking the plunge. I'm starting a non-profit for writers who are low/limited-income. It's important to me, as many of those who are low-income are disabled and are on SSI/SSDI. Being disabled myself, I understand the struggle. I want to give us a voice. 1/
