Daylight Ukrainian missile strike on port infrastructure in Novorossiysk, SW fascist Russia. The air war is intensifying, and Russian air defenses eroded to the point that Ukraine can extend air attacks into daylight hours. Looks like the oil terminal is the possible target here.
Stand with Ukraine!🇺🇦🙏✊🕊️
We must help them win a just & lasting peace, regain their stolen territory. Then they can bring home from Russia, all their captured children!🙏😔

“The US is in the ‘F**k Around & Find Out’ stage of Trump’s madness, fueled by war fanatic Pete ‘Maximum Lethality’ Hegseth, surrounded by a confederacy of dunces…undergirded by a feckless Republican-led Congress that does not know its constitutional purpose.”

“People were angry because the Americans and Israelis said they wouldn’t attack civilians. But we saw that they were bombing bakeries, care homes and hospitals.” 1843 receives on-the-ground testimony from the Iran war
Actually, I’m glad Trump is too stupid and arrogant to realize Ukraine has the best experience and technical ability in the world to cope with drones. I hope Europe and Canada realize that Ukraine is their best defense option and put all their resources behind Ukraine.
Getting more conclusive by the minute in Tikhoretsk.
Something is definitely on fire there now.
Hard to pinpoint what's so special about this but it is special. Is it because when you live with someone you care about you often see them at angles like this and would be able pick them out of a crowd from that viewpoint alone.
Classic hog response, trying to flip it around. The man is a complete pig. Absolutely covered in filth.
Symbolizing hope and new beginnings.
Ukraine is still a vibrant nation, full of incredible people, despite everything.
Thank you for sharing the emerging flowers.
There is so much tenderness in these first spring flowers.
Ukraine is beginning to bloom, despite everything.

Ossoff: "The WH put out a video depicting this war as a video game. When service members are returning in flag-draped coffins, & even more have lost limbs or suffered brain injuries or are fighting for their lives, this WH treats war like a game. It's a disgrace. And it speaks to a moral rot."
We’re finishing up our third consecutive quarter of essentially no job growth, possibly our second consecutive quarter of muted real GDP growth, and Q2 is no longer looking good.
The February jobs report and the revised Q4 GDP report combined with the ongoing energy price shock open up a very different distribution of macro outcomes than people were thinking about two weeks ago.
This isn't based on anything other than a view on human nature, but I feel like via bribery and/or corruption the price of oil won't sustainably go above say $120-140/barrel.
Lots of the Senate streams have crossed:
The Straight of Hormuz hole is 20M barrels/day.
-Let’s say the Saudi pipelines get you 5M/day
-Global SPR’s get you 3M/day
-Iran ships 2M/day via bribes and friends
etc
Price/demand destruction ultimately has to solve for whatever’s left.
Just about every Trump policy is a hit against confidence in the US economy.
This one is just so moronic that the effect is being registered on a daily basis.
Interest rates express either waxing or waning confidence. US treasuries are held by investors and central banks around the world. Interest rates are rising since the war in Iran began. Military spending a billion $/ day on this excursion. The deficit will deepen. Higher rates will be demanded.

"Top Trump officials acknowledged to lawmakers during recent classified briefings that they did not plan for the possibility of Iran closing the strait in response to strikes."

Close the Straits? Who could have predicted that?
Weird that Putin would benefit from this war that seems beneficial to no one else
A striking feature of Trump and his team is: they somehow imagine a world in which they are the only actors, only ones with power, and whether it's Tehran or Minneapolis are surprised when it turns out others do. There are many kinds of power and many nations with power.
