Okay, then--the MEDIAN American income isn't enough to support what we have long considered a "MIDDLE CLASS" way of life: living, without food insecurity, in an adequate-sized home and raising and educating a couple of kids.
Which means it now takes more than the MEDIAN income to be "middle class".

If up to 150 U.S. troops have been wounded while the public was told only eight were seriously injured, the issue is not semantics, it is transparency. Democracies cannot sustain trust when the human cost of war is filtered through carefully managed numbers instead of full accountability.
