Itβs a must-read. Thanks for all you do!
Just finished watching! Itβs our family tradition every year on Thanksgiving Eve.
This morning I dragged myself out of bed at 3:00 to head to the West End Bridge in hopes of capturing the moon over PPG Place and the Christmas tree at the Point in #Pittsburgh. Luckily the clouds stayed away for long enough to allow that to happen. Made for an amazing view.
Excellent choice. Loved this one!
Loved her memoir! This one has been on my TBR for awhile (too long, actually).
Iβm at that point now, sadly. Itβs a struggle, isnβt it? πππ’
Thatβs awesome, Sherrie! Congrats!
Iβm enjoying the bookish and writing community here. Thinking thatβs going to be my intent for this space, at least for now.
A few days ago the Allegheny River in #Pittsburgh was darn near a mirror, and that made for some amazing reflections of the Steel City. Itβs just one of those rules: when the river looks like this, you have to take a panorama from the dock. No way you can pass it up.
Octavia Butler being a time traveler or seer, will forever be a hill I'm willing to die on, because there's just no way. Parable of The Sower was published in 1993. Look at this date. #BlackBookSky #BookSky

Your Sassy and my Ilsa must be related. Sheβs the most anxious, nervous, skittish cat Iβve ever met.
Photo of two books. On the left is a Kindle with the black and white cover of The Wedding People by Alison Espach. On the right is a short story collection called Now That Iβm Not Here at All by Suzanne Burns, which has a cover of colorful balloons.

Never thought I'd have "get added to a starter pack" on my bucket list, but here we are.
YELLOWFACE was one of my favorites of 2023 -- highly recommend!
I have faith in you. π
I do, somewhat informally. My Substack focuses on books and includes brief recaps/reflections on what Iβm reading or have recently read. Lit fiction, memoir, short stories, nonfiction (culture, womenβs issues, current eventsβ¦maybe not so much of the latter for a little while. π)
It is! Such a nice warm nostalgic feeling during this uncertain time.
This place looks nice. And kind of familiar. You know, from a time before all...((waves hands randomly)) this.
