Despite only having a rough idea what's going on, I'm really enjoying Ryū ga Gotoku 5.

There have been sections where Google Translate has been very helpful but, other than that, I'm no stranger to bulldozing my way through the language barrier.

Bought this cool CD player for a fiver at a charity shop a couple of weeks ago.

Not only is it wall-mounted, it's also activated by a pull cord not too dissimilar to a bathroom light 😁

And I also thought it badly needed a Dreamcast logo. Don't ask why 😆

This was true at the time as the only English-language version of Yakuza 5 is the digital-only one and SEGA hilariously wants £25 for it.

No chance!

Now the PS3 series will actually conclude with J-Yakuza 5 for only £8. Couldn't say no.

No, *you* stayed up until half-two this morning to complete the first chapter of DOOM: Legacy of Rust.

It took me a few attempts to finally get the last two kills I needed for complete 100%.

Annnnnd that's Rayman finished 100%.

Not sure how I feel. On the one hand, the game is hard, so completing it is an achievement in itself... but the ending was extremely anticlimactic.

Still, nevermind. I can now focus on DOOM: Legacy of Rust 😁

Been on Rayman for a few months and finally reached the last level... but I need a few more lives for this one.

While I'm grinding for them, let's end the year the same way I did in 2024 & 2023: with DOOM.

After many months and a repaired PS3, Yakuza Dead Souls is finally finished with. It was an interesting idea but a broken aim mechanic really lets the game down.

That also brings an end to what I call the original PS2/3 series. Now I can start the PS4 games, beginning with Zero.

Now that my PS3 is working properly again, it's time to return to Yakuza Dead Souls.

Started it in March, so hopefully, I can get it finished before the end of the year.

My PS3's CPU and RSX finally needed delidding. A simple clean and repaste wasn't going to solve the overheating any more 🤣

I also needed a new disc drive, as the original died when the console yellow-lighted.

It's nice to have it not sounding like a jet engine again 😁

Today I learned that the PS2 recognises the PocketStation.

I'm not really surprised, considering it's an official Sony device, but seeing the little 3D model appear as a memory card fills me with joy.

Because you know it has to be done...
