yeah... but at least the learning will help ya mend those, so initial cost will be... not cheap (especially equipment). but will be pretty cheap to maintain, there ARE places that let you use their machines to use if needed, just requires the jump (the hardest part :/)
getting into cosplay and making your own cosplays and costumes really helped with it... but aye, winds of obsession may flow against ye. Sail with your mast high and land yer landlubbers will reach. And finding a cheap place to get fabrics also will help~

Not someone with call center experience but some customer service experience and: I say this is very likely to be a descalation attempt. Not only because it contradicts what other reps are saying, but because you generally don't give so many unprompted details about the inner workings to a customer
