GM Tip: When you don't know a rule mid-game, make a quick call and move on. Look it up between sessions. Stopping play to debate the rules kills momentum. Accuracy matters less than flow.

Hey all! It’s #TabletopTuesday and I’ve got my concluding thoughts from @adinfinitumadv.bsky.social's Icons Superpowered Roleplaying #TTRPG, and our journey through "The RetConQuest!"
(Spoiler? I love the system, the players really enjoyed the game, and Icons earned its spot at our gaming table.)

First two pages of an 8-fold single-paper zine fold, set up to hold an Icons character’s information for the Icons Superpowered Roleplaying TTRPG: It has Attributes on one side (Prowess, Coordination, Strength, Intellect, Awareness, and Willpower), along with a box for Stamina (Willpower+Strength); and on the second page is "Specialties" with a lot of empty space (and a reminder at the bottom that Speciality is +1, Expert is +2, and Mastery is +3).
The next two pages are pretty much blank, but have "Powers" listed with lots of space to write your character’s powers.
The last two pages are, first: Qualities (with lots of writing space), alongside with a box for Determination at the bottom, and then second: the list of what you can do with Advantages: Improved Effort, Insight, Push Ability, Recover, RetCon, or Stunt.
Pieces of paper are already super-portable for Convention one-shot character sheets, but as I fiddle with @adinfinitumadv.bsky.social's Icons #TTRPG, I couldn’t help but think the "8-page single zine fold" technique would mean you could hand people little comics as character sheets and so…
It’s #TabletopTuesday and we’re 3/4 of our way through the one-shot adventure "The RetConQuest" for @adinfinitumadv.bsky.social's Icons Superpowered Roleplaying #TTRPG. Yeah, we’ve managed to turn a one-shot into three sessions. In fairness, that’s on brand for both me and time-travel adventures.
