The Squamish Nation and the District of Squamish signed an historic Memorandum Of Understanding on July 22, 2025. The document outlines an agreement between Squamish leaders and municipal officials that will reshape how decisions are made in the District of Squamish.

The Squamish Nation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Musqueam Indian Band, Tsleil-Waututh Nation, Government of British Columbia, and the City of Vancouver, in a commitment to continued collaboration working up to, during, and after the much anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026.
Today, June 26th, the Squamish Nation signed a historic land-use agreement with the Provincial government at the Sea To Sky Gondola, in keeping with the vision set out in our Xay Temixw (Sacred Land Use Plan).

On March 9th, the the Nation successfully held its first People's Assembly of 2025.
On Sunday, June 1st, the Nation will hold its second People's Assembly of 2025.
Council encourages everyone to participate in person or online!

Council is excited to announce the launch of the new Council Communications Framework.
This will give Council a direct voice to the Nation through a variety of channels.
This includes channels like the newsletter and physical print as well as in-person meetings.
