Hardware has the advantage of (usually) being designed start to finish with performance in mind. So typically they are much simpler, but much faster and flexible to quickly improvise and adapt on. Daws are just too huge to be able to move that quickly and extremely without lots of preparation.
I wanna argue with this one, I agree with you in purely the production aspect, but I think there’s a major difference when it comes to live performance. Performing on an Octatrack for example is entirely different (and feels more like playing an instrument) than performing on ableton or another daw.
You need to keep up this peanut butter bit, start talking about an intense topic and change the subject to peanut butter regularly

From what I’ve heard of your mixes, they’re absolutely anything but muddy, they’re very nice, full, and clear ;3
I always do a half hour or so of listening to other music if I ever change my headphones or get new ones before I start mixing. Usually takes me a bit to get used to the new character, and I’ve ruined a couple mixes by misunderstanding the change in the curve I’m used to, as a problem with my mix.

Just keep making music in a way that you love and makes you feel proud, and people will see it I promise. I believe in you Hadd_!!
You have the inspired quality to your music that I think a lot of people wish they had, it’ll just unfortunately take time until enough people see it. I mean look at vylet pony for example, she’s been releasing music since 2013. It’s taken her a lot of time to build the audience she has.
All that is to say, it’s not about skill or earning the qualifications to succeed. What I’ve heard from your music is incredible stuff, your compositions have such a wonderful and comforting atmosphere, and there’s so much movement and so many great ideas.
The past year or so I’ve been putting a ton of time and work in to learning how to mix and produce at a really high level cause I have this feeling that I “need to be the best to succeed.” But in my pursuit of that, I’ve lost a lot of the heart and soul that other (great but unskilled) artists have.
I think that’s just how big companies like spotify want you to feel about it, at least the “you don’t deserve it” part.
