Fractured Waterfall~ using KFC and batiks. This is a workshop that I offer to quilt guilds and other groups. For all skill levels, this method involves "deconstructing" your quilt and then re-assembling using the Build As You Go quilting method.
This was my first attempt at drawing on fabric. It was rather primitive, but she loved it anyway. Don't be afraid to experiment with different mediums. Even crayons are fun to play with on fabric!
Watercolor pencil painting on unbleached canvas, then embellished with threads. Taken from a photo of the Indiana Dunes where I grew up. I made this for my mother in 2017 when she was in memory care. She loved it and it brought back so many memories for her.
