Yep.
Yep.
Unhappiness in the Kirkdale family is not good. I hope this is something that blows over. Pint soon?
Excellent. I often enjoy a coffee after visiting the shop and was bemused to find the one I usually go to down the road closed last time I came.
He once told me I was the best page turner heβd ever had!
I have yet to knit you one. This must be remedied.
Same. And I have visited my great-uncleβs grave in France!
Yes so am I! Planning to go week on Sunday.

I was going to write some light-hearted but reassuring comment here but you know what fuck the person that made that comment and know that I adore you. Sometimes you just have to tell a mate that.
At an extraordinary gig last night - a celebration of Martin Carthyβs life and songs. A jaw dropping line up and wonderful playing/singing. And in the midst of it all that great but humble man seemed so interested and curious about all the performances; as well as taking part. A special evening.
I get this all the time. And the second sentence is actually correct - I canβt possibly read them all - but I relish the attempt.
Reminder that 100,000 people marched for Trans Pride in London earlier this year, but because they weren't violent fascists, there was minimal press coverage, unlike the Nazis today.

A post this morning from Keir Starmer on Elon Musk's X in which he welcomes American financial investment into the UK and makes no comment on other matters
good that Keir has broken his silence this morning to ... continue posting on a website run by a man who yesterday addressed a far right rally to call for his overthrow, while not in any way addressing said far right rally
The fascists who marched through London yesterday attacked the police.
They attacked the police, in large numbers, with direct violent intent.
This morning the only newspaper front page that mentions this, in passing, is the Sunday Express.
STOP APPEASING FASCISTS.
Just sums up everything wrong with this government's approach at the moment, encouraging division rather than finding ways to bring the vast majority together.
Be good if the prime minster were to make a statement to this effect
Absolutely horrified and disgusted to see so many people openly attending a fascist rally in our capital.
All reported breathlessly on news channels and in some sections of the media.
Everyone attending is complicit in this country's rapid decline into extremism.
All good options, in my opinion.
Amazing how such small numbers have been identified as the voice of the nation when, for comparison, 100,000 turned out for trans pride last month in London.
Picture of Angela Rayner superimposed over a green colour washed image of an allotment. With a small 'We Own It' logo in the bottom left corner. The main text reads: Angela Rayner hands off our allotments
Hey @angelarayner - hands off our allotments! No more sell-offs of these precious green spaces. Take 1 minute to sign our petition today. π#HandsOffOurAllotments
Expected this - I have three outstanding book pledges - as Iβve been emailing boundless for the last two months with no one bothering to respond. So angry on behalf of all the authors and readers.
Yes I broadly agree. Itβs telling that she says the article is misleading rather than false.
I veer towards the facts in the observer article and the Raynor defence seems somewhat shiftyβ¦but Iβm willing to accept that some aspects arenβt clear cut. She still comes out of it looking bad.
One suspects the truth is somewhere in the messy middle ground between the two accounts.
Very odd - I was sure I had bought the book but Iβve just dug around in my library and canβt find it. Maybe I didnβt or it is just hiding in shame somewhere.
Agreed. I bought the book because I wanted to read about the walking. Not so interested in the illness-to-wellness memoir aspect.
Just read the article. I have the book but not yet read it. Wonder whether I will now or just read it with awareness of the deceitβ¦all rather uncomfortable.
UK companies are destroying forests and trashing the climate through their global supply chains - and UK law lets them get away with it. We need a new #BizHumanRights law before #COP30 to make them accountableπ

A Friday evening that includes a crumhorn is a good one in my book.
