I was going to write some light-hearted but reassuring comment here but you know what fuck the person that made that comment and know that I adore you. Sometimes you just have to tell a mate that.

At an extraordinary gig last night - a celebration of Martin Carthy’s life and songs. A jaw dropping line up and wonderful playing/singing. And in the midst of it all that great but humble man seemed so interested and curious about all the performances; as well as taking part. A special evening.

I get this all the time. And the second sentence is actually correct - I can’t possibly read them all - but I relish the attempt.

Reminder that 100,000 people marched for Trans Pride in London earlier this year, but because they weren't violent fascists, there was minimal press coverage, unlike the Nazis today.

The fascists who marched through London yesterday attacked the police.

They attacked the police, in large numbers, with direct violent intent.

This morning the only newspaper front page that mentions this, in passing, is the Sunday Express.

Just sums up everything wrong with this government's approach at the moment, encouraging division rather than finding ways to bring the vast majority together.

Yes I broadly agree. It’s telling that she says the article is misleading rather than false.

I veer towards the facts in the observer article and the Raynor defence seems somewhat shifty…but I’m willing to accept that some aspects aren’t clear cut. She still comes out of it looking bad.
