Yeah but its not as simple as just keeping one shape darker than the shape behind it. Just as a micro example here you can see the way I intentionally shift which value is light and which is dark within the same shape. I try to find and capitalize on every opportunity I can for this sorta thing.

the united states might be the only country on the planet where its military is entirely volunteer based but the majority of discourse around it acts like conscription exists. i hope people can maybe read the room a little when soldiers are currently slaughtering people in west asia again
