Yeah I think that’s about as good as white can hope for. Any attempt to save the queen leads to mate.

The oldest chess movie I’ve seen is A Chess Dispute (Robert W. Paul, 1903). It set a high water mark—I suspect it’s one of the best. I’m going to keep a thread of every movie I watch that prominently features chess to see how it stacks up with the 120 year old short.
