And Jimmy Jacobs of course

I co-host the Creepy History podcast, I play/discuss indie/retro games, I watch a lot of horror movies, I read and post about comics and 20th century lit, and I obsess over classic wrestling and Pro Wrestling Noah. https://creepyhistory.buzzsprout.com/
And Jimmy Jacobs of course
Love this one, and for the theme, I humbly submit for consideration as one of the greatest pro-wrestling but not pro-wrestling moments of the 90s:

A second appearance for Nakajima vs Miyahara! Great comp here. Also this list reminds me: is Ricky Marvin the most under-appreciated wrestler of the last 25 years? Not saying he doesnβt get recognition - but I donβt think he gets nearly enough.
I made that mistake last year! Allowed myself more freedom this time
This was a good one! Very cool stuff here
Triple Play Tuesday of the Season of Giving continues with a look at the Miyahara-Nakajima feud from @fcoffeen.bsky.social.
Thanks! Hope some folks enjoy it

This picture certainly implies that training didnβt go so well.
I saw it after the fact and felt it didnβt quite live up to the considerable hype
The thud of Jon Jones dropping Lyotoβs limp body to the mat, for sure.
Jerry Horne from Twin Peaks?
And the chief from the Carmen Sandiego kids game show!
Fantastic movie
Drop a fight scene you loved.

100%. The greatness was that both performer and character were perfectly in sync - both trying to push themselves past the point where it was guaranteed to work. Kayfabe, not kayfabe - didnβt matter because the goal was identical either way. The βbotchesβ werenβt a bug, they were THE feature
I watched that AJPW TV you posted yesterday and couldnt have been more pleased with my choice. Highly satisfying
Just started it yesterday. Been a long time coming
I would 100% listen
I contend the Warrior match is in Hβs upper tier of Mania matches. It has a specific task to accomplish and it accomplishes it. No notes.
Valid
Dick Murdoch
13 points on the first half for Clemson. I repeat: 13. Terrible
Still time!
Buzz never reached the level he was capable of. He was real good
Ok Bluesky, whoβs watching March Madness with me this year?
Congrats to you on this. I remember stumbling across your Twitter when you first started and being blown away by your analysis - awesome to see it come together like this. Very much looking forward to reading!
I recently watched this for the first time in ages too and was struck by how tragic it is. Itβs a sad, sad movie
This looks amazing. I got super into walks like this during Covid. Theyβre so great
It didnβt do much for me. My issue: lack of dynamics. The movie settles into a very specific mood instantly, and never deviates from that mood. At no point is it faster, slower, funnier, scarierβ¦ itβs just the same flavor of doom the whole time. I like the mood, but I also need variety.
Will check out, thanks!
