you're not gonna run into someone else who plays like this and the 1st to 2 format is already so insufficient when it comes to learning match ups or reproducing actual tournament conditions unless you're very high level, so that's the point lol

in ranked more than anywhere else I've ran into so many off-beat, gimmicky play styles built to confound and catch you off-guard only to get one and done'd when you figure them out after 1 round and stomp their shit, and it's like...what is there to learn from this

IMO even purely as a way to find a "good" match around your skill level it doesn't really work bc most ppl aren't playing to be more proficient at the game they're playing to take your/not to lose their points (cont)
