Thanks to everyone who joined us last night for the launch of UNISON Cymruβs Senedd election manifesto.
It was a fantastic evening and good to see UNISON members speaking directly with politicians standing in the upcoming election. Public services are stronger when the voices of workers are heard.
Better public services for a fairer Wales.

Today UNISON Cymru is launching our manifesto for the 2026 Senedd election.
Public services across Wales are under real strain. The next Welsh Government must deliver properly funded, publicly delivered services built around communities, not private profit.
If Sunlun get out of this with a point I will be a happy man #SAFC
We donβt like workers being exploited either.

If the government wants to survive, it urgently needs to stand up for workers and defend our fundamental values.β

Some care workers in Wales are still waiting for the real living wage!
Emma is a support worker in Neath and Port Talbot. She has done this job for 14 years. She loves it but she is still being paid minimum wage.
The Welsh Government promised care workers the real living wage.
just spitballing but some of it might have something to do with 15 years of sociopathic behavior culminating in the enthusiastic embrace of violent fascism
The cultural rejection of AI and data centers has real impacts in people's hearts and minds, and i'm seeing it influence how they think about their life's labor and the legacy they're leaving for their descendants and our future generations.

NHS pay: 3.3% isnβt enough π
Welsh Government has accepted a 3.3% pay award for NHS staff from 1 April 2026.
Ministers say this is above CPI inflation at 3%. But CPI does not include housing costs, rail fares or mobile contracts. When those essentials are included, inflation is 3.8%.

Wow.
On almost everything β fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation β evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.
But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
