Hereβs a cover I illustrated for the upcoming D&D book, Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. It was such a joy to paint Strahd again π¦

Up @sffworld.com, my review of an extremely impressive fantasy debut, which blends history and horror, demons and forbidden love, playing off the original European werewolf myth/story - THE RED WINTER by Cameron Sullivan @torbooks.bsky.social www.sffworld.com/2026/02/the-...

Ooohh I think @talkscaredpod.bsky.social might enjoy this one, too
(Deleted original post because stupid autocorrect)
About halfway through this novel - WEAVINGSHAW by Heba Al-Wasity and I am loving it. Gothic fantasy, hints of horror, lovely writing. I think both @margueriteturl2.bsky.social and @sadiehartmann.bsky.social would totally be vibing with it @delreybooks.bsky.social #gothichorror #gothicfantasy
Yes!!! I tapped out of HoD, despite some good acting. A Knight... has nearly perfect casting
I love this show, so much better than the other GoT show. I like the "smaller stakes" of the story and Dunc is awesome
I've been a fan of Shinedown's music since their 1st album (Fly From the Inside is a top tier opening song). Admittedly, I don't know much about their politics (shame on me). It isn't so much that I'm glad they pulled out of Kid Rock's concert, but disappointed to learn they were part of it at all.
Jeff Bezos had $75 million to bribe Trump for the Melania movie but cut 16,000 jobs at Amazon and is cutting more at the Washington Post today.
And somehow people *dont* want to campaign on the issue of evil billionaires.
Protest sign from MN that says, βDEARLY BELOVED. WE ARE GATHERED HERE TODAY TODISMANTLE THIS THING CALLED ICE.β with a picture of Prince in the left hand lower corner.

Cover to THE CALAMITIES by Chuck Wendig (designed by The Boland Design Co). Dark cover -- blacks, reds, golds. A man in a fancy suit with a blurred red face sits on a leather couch, casually, legs crossed, arms spread in recline. Above him is a gold-framed painting of a man spread in hellish torment. At the top, the text: NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author of THE BOOK OF ACCIDENTS
There's quite a lot going on, so it feels weird to be like HEY HEY LOOK AT ME, but maybe you like books, and like books by me, and want to see the cover to my next one, coming in August:
Up today @sffworld.com, my review of Yah Yah Scholfield's powerful, horror debut, ON SUNDAYS SHE PICKED FLOWERS.
"Like the darkest of fairy tales, thereβs an element of stark violence that characterizes who Jude is and the story itself." @sagapressbooks.bsky.social

βBeing attacked over and over, it hasn't weakened her, it's cut away her restraints. The slasher thought he was tormenting her. He thought he was the one in charge. Wrong. He was fashioning his own death. He was building the perfect killing machine.β

I was fortunate to get an early look at TWELVE MONTHS, Jim Butcher's 18th #DresdenFiles novel. I've been a fan for years... a different book than we've come to expect from Jim and this series. I also think it is one of the best in the series, my review @sffworld.com www.sffworld.com/2026/01/twel...
My day can only go downhill from here
Fun fact: the tune to that song came from DLR because he would scream "and the dreidel will rock" when he was a kid and got in trouble with his rabbi.
(Seems like it could be a real story, right?)
I cannot wait to nab the buffalo hunter hunter. π₯Ί this just added to my "I need to read it" fuel.
Up today @sffworld.com, my review of BONES of OUR STARS, BLOOD of OUR WORLD by @cullenbunn.bsky.social, a terrific horror novel that starts as a small town murder mystery, then gets cosmic. @sagapressbooks.bsky.social
