So you can, and I recommend you do, read his autobiography or view his documentary, but you can also just watch your favorite Kilmer performance, and let his talent continue to entertain and enthrall.
But as an artists and actor, he is memorialized on screen, captured in his element, doing the things he loved.
As an actor his portfolio is diversified by the characters he has portrayed... Everyone has their favorite and mine is Chris Knight from Real Genius.
Val Kilmer was more than an actor, he was an artist in every sense of the word. His autobiography, which I highly recommend because not only does it tell his story, it reveals his artistic character, as does the 2021 documentary "Val."
