"there's too many fonts"
actually there's three
the game aside, it's awesome to see something that's main stream just be so vehemently different than it's cohorts
it's really cool that marathon is exposing a good portion of gamers as people with a vanilla normie palette when it comes to design & aesthetic

A rabbit in overalls and a goat in pants are sitting on the ground drawing pictures. The rabbit is saying βART POSES A THREAT TO CORPORATOLRATIC SYSTEMS BECAUSE A PURPOSE OF ART IS TO REMIND THE INDIVIDUAL OF THEIR INHERENT AUTONOMY.β, the goat adds βTHEIR HUMANITY.β

Romeo is a Dead Man is a violent, loud, and beautifully human piece of art that reminds us what makes video games as a medium so special. Our review: https://www.rpgsite.net/review/19572-romeo-dead-man-review
Romeo is carrying the torch for Nubby
The opposite end of the spectrum is me where I'm like "yeah all of this is perfect actually" despite there being weird idiosyncrasies that I'm like "that's a strange choice and it's very annoying but I love it"
If you don't like Romeo is A DeadMan then you need to reassess.
If this isn't in my top 3 of the year you have the permission to slap me.

Bob Ferguson from One Battle After Another
Sensei Sergio from One Battle After Another
Nice argument, unfortunately I have already depicted you as the soyjak doomscroller Bob and myself as the chad organizer Sensei Sergio.
it's just crazy how disappointing it is to know there's a minions world at universal Japan
And Brennan also made sure to say "I told you guys to make back up characters" so it's nice to know there's also immediate stakes for the players and story too
Going to be really interesting to see how it grows over time with them doing three different tables that all respectively deal with different areas of the world. There are certain characters that feel to be "pillars" and are the lynch pin for these different parties and the places they inhabit. COOL
critical role campaign 4 so far is masterfully crafted, stakes are high, characters have immediate agency, Brennan Lee Mulligan is able to direct things in a way that doesn't feel rail roaded but is able to keep PC's in check. All of the characters offer unique POVs in the world, too.

we live in a messed up worldβ¦.
Mockup of a dark fantasy game UI. On the left, an isometric view shows a tiny hooded figure in a pointed hat standing near a hut with a glowing red bonfire. The scene is painted in icy blues, sandy yellows, and mossy greens, with cliff edges and a shoreline below. On the right, a portrait of a pale witch with large dark eyes, a hat tied with red string on their head, and large metal keys through their cheeks. Below the portrait, an interface bar shows strange symbols and inventory items: a worm shaped like the infinite, a drop of blood, and a potion bottle.
You awaken on a white shore, unsure what youβve lost.
Dark rites brought me, @ratcasket.itch.io , and @puppiesandanime.bsky.social together.
Something stirs. More soon.

Hey man just watched your Whitewashing One Piece video and loved it, subbed etc. Do you have any other content creators who talk about anime/manga that you'd recommend? I've unsubbed from almost everyone in the space due to exactly what you are touching on in your videos.
Yeah it is
this movie makes me cry every time i watch it
Local Man for sure! God Country, Did You Hear What Eddie Gein Done, Essex County, Pride of Baghdad, Dead Dogs Bite, Asterios Polyp, Southern Bastards, Gideon Falls.
+1 saga as well but I assume everyone and their mom reads it already
IDW Transformers is great.
The new Absolute stuff from DC is really fun as well if you want Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman stuff.
Something is Killing the Children I by James Tynion IV, highly recommend.
And a personal favorite of mine from recent years is LOCAL MAN by Tom Fleecs and Tim Seeley.
RIP David Lynch. Everyone has their favorite Lynch-isms, but I keep going back to his raw reaction to watching the ending of Itβs a Wonderful Life.
