I got some beautiful muted tones of fibre in 2 corriedale braids. Spun one really fine and the other not so much, wanted an uneven ply.

Today I stood up for me and my rights against a bully. Feeling amazing. Have blocked and muted bully so they can't retaliate.

A photo of some fibre bits in long loose tubes known as faux lags. There are 4, each a pale pink with very pale greeny yellow, sat on a royal blue fabric background. Proper rolags are prepared on a blending board. These are pulled from a braid of fibre and loosely wrapped around a dowel or large knitting needle.
#Spindlebingo Spindle bingo - prepare your own fibre. These are faux lags. Bits of handdyed roving pulled from the braid and rolled around a large needle.

Went to the dentist today for a filling. Wore earplugs, sunglasses and crocheted. Now just have to work out how to deal with jaw ache.
First and foremost, alt text must always be informative and descriptive of the content in the image. It can have character and humor, but it still needs to be informative and descriptive. Alt text is not a place to add easter eggs or jokes for sighted users.
Letting my creativity go where it needs to. At the moment it's very simple knitted hats.
Wow. I've never seen blending tools be so fun!
A photo of a wooden turkish spindle with handspun half wound on to the arms. The arms are in a cross formation and the shaft is pointing off screen. The fibre is mainly pale pink with hints of lilac. The spindle is sitting on unspun fibre, pale green in the bottom left corner and pinky lilac everywhere else.

A common question about alt text is whether or not it's appropriate to mention attributes like race or skin tone. A common response is, "It depends." In this post, Tolu Adegbite explains how race can be relevant and important in providing context.

Is anyone doing #SpindleBingo
It's on IG, but I find it so hard to post on there, I'm going to do it here too.

Also, maybe she can ask her friends to accept her ideals and give her non physical gifts - experiences, adopt a tiger etc
It's really difficult to do this when the website is in dark mode. Difficult to see if an option has been selected.
Please can you add alt text to all of your images.
A photo of 2 handspun skeins. The left skein is mainly orange with hints if yellow and red. The right is lilac and pale green. These are chain plied, but I don't like the result. I didn't hold the strands while they were being spun (which i normally do). Now I've realised my mistake I can continue.
Did some chain plying after a long gap. Hate the result. Turns out I underspun. I know what I did differently to normal.

A photo of 3 handspun skeins of yarn hanging from a dark wood curtain pole straddling two upright trellis panels. The yarn is a cream or natural colour. There is shadowing on the bottom third of the photo. Behind the yarn is a garden with blue sky at the top of the photo.
Finally... wind and sunshine. Only managed to dry these 3 skeins of handspun yarn. One is Shetland, the other 2 are corriedale. #SpinningandFiberPrep
A photo of a double sided hat, the way this one is constructed is a tube with both ends sewed up a drawstring method. The top half is purple and the bottom is royal blue. It is lying on a beige carpet. I used Yarnsmiths Aran merino doubled with purple mohair.
A simple knitted hat, and it worked! I am notoriously bad at making wearable hats. This one was the simplest possible. Cast on 100 stitches on a circular needle and knit a tube. Sewed boths ends by the drawstring technique. #KnitSky
Alt text, or "alternative text," functions as a text alternative for images. This makes web content accessible to people who use screen readers or braille displays. Alt text also displays in cases where an image fails to load due to a slow connection or other issues, like today's AWS outage.
It's being as helpful/descriptive as possible. You're putting into words what your eyes see because someone else can't.
