The more housing we build the more people can move here. Houston and Austin are building a ton of housing and making room for more people, while in California we push people out with our inelastic housing supply.
Good points. I’d add Many people don’t want to raise their kids, especially their daughters in states that don’t allow them autonomy over r their bodies. My wife is from Texas but wouldn’t allow our daughters to be raised there. When we deny housing in blue states, this is who we are keeping out

I love Ktown, I like the premise of this piece that’s it’s the real downtown, but it’s got some unfortunate takes on housing. It blames building transit for raising prices and cast aspersions at “luxury units”.

I guess I’ve never felt that way. It seems obvious to me that if I pay for parking it’s easier to find and free parking in hard to park areas means tons of time
searching. I hate looking for parking way more than I hate paying for it.
