No, I really don’t tbh. There’s definitely an element of “I certainly hope not” in my answer so admittedly I’m biased! I just think RM would be unpopular with a large section of the fanbase from day one - I fear it wouldn’t be long before he rubbed up too many the wrong way

It seems like an unnecessary change to me. I can’t see how a club that finishes 8th after a 46 game season has earned a playoff opportunity or is in anyway deserving of a place in the Premier League

Hard to imagine a more crucial & pivotal week for ER & our club as a whole, for sure. Blackburn winning tonight only ramps up the pressure. I immediately imagined ER & the players watching that game in their hotel & how demoralising it must be for them as results not going our way.

I know what you mean & I’ve heard so many say they’d be delighted with a point. Whilst I get that I think as we’re at home, we really should be going all out for a win. Won’t be easy but If we show Cov too much respect it’ll backfire IMO. A positive approach should get the crowd behind them too

Don’t go to away games these days in all honesty but similarly I’ll 100 per cent renew my season ticket regardless of what division we’re in. Really never imagined it would come to this. It’s like we’re going to relive the Bobby Gould era all over again!

If you’d asked me a couple of weeks ago my answer would have been different. However, based on the evidence of my own eyes recently I’m now like you and just can’t see how we stay up. Hope springs eternal and all that but our momentum appears downward. So want to be proved wrong mind

ER!! Old habits … 😂

I fear that the change of Head Coaches will have used up any available funds. It looks like we might only get a midfielder in to replace Collyer. If we can move anyone else on, presumably they’d be replaced too. RM simply has to squeeze more from what he’s inherited. Easier said than done of course

Yes, hopefully they’ll have told ER of their ambitious plans moving forward and he’s excited at the prospect

Not long is it! But ER is young and hungry. I’m hoping our improved financial position in the summer will give ER a fair crack of the whip

For sure! Always speaks so well too does Shilen. I’m wondering if there’s much more he’ll say than AN said in his pre-Christmas statement. It would be great to hear Shilen’s off field plans but I get the impression he’s biding his time on that. I’m sure he has his reasons for doing so

Cautiously optimistic! Won’t pretend I know much about him but it could be an exciting appointment. Pleased that Bilkul, having pulled the trigger on RM, have been decisive and got their preferred target. It’s a big challenge for ER so he may need some time. Reality is managers don’t get much time!

Frustrating for sure but I appreciate your help nonetheless. Thanks Paul

Doesn’t look that it’s on unfortunately Paul

Where did you see that please Paul? I can’t see it listed on S4C’s tv guide

If MJ is indeed fit enough to start then we can win. Blues can be got at for sure, particularly as Heggebo’s confidence must be sky high. I’d definitely start with Collyer and play aggressively on the front foot to get the crowd onside. Crowd has a huge part to play tonight. 2-1 to the Baggies!

Absolutely correct! Far from taking money out, my understanding is Bilkul are actually pumping millions of £s of their own money into our club. All Baggies should be extremely grateful in my opinion

To quote Shilen Patel’s latest statement:
“This summer, we will once again have to be pragmatic, adaptable & resourceful & consider factors beyond our simple preferences in player trading”
I think we’ll enjoy the fruits of all this in the coming years but possibly not immediately

I completely back Bilkul & will trust their judgment 💯 in terms of navigating PSR, which must be incredibly challenging 1/2

02.08.2025 08:00 👍 1 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0

Couldn’t agree more, particularly in light of our current PSR situation. I suspect for exactly the same reason we’ll probably have to do similar unfortunately with Tom Fellows & possibly another star. Situation certainly not of Bilkul’s making but necessary to remedy financial issues they inherited

Sorry for late response! My heart says we’ll end up 5th or 6th. My head says we’ll probably just miss out on the playoffs again. That’s based on thinking we’ll lose at least 2 of our big players, unfortunately, to keep on the right side of PSR. I do though believe that longer term we’ll be better

Great question! In an environment without PSR, I’d be inclined to agree with you. Though I’m more relaxed, personally, on the GK front. More generally, I have so much sympathy for Bilkul because of the financial restraints they’re currently working under. I trust them to steer our club properly

Brilliant Paul! I’m late to this one I know but thanks for highlighting this exhibition. Like so many others, my wife and I are Dolly Parton fans. As we’re planning on spending a few days in Nashville later this year, I’m sure we’ll squeeze in a visit to this exhibition

so felt far more personal & intimate if that makes sense. Zoe was wonderful too. A blast from the past, we’re seeing Bobby Davro next month at the Hollywood Comedy Club (the B47 one & not LA unfortunately 😂). A venue not much bigger than a church hall!!

I hear you! You mentioned John Bishop. I saw him a few years back at the NIA & whilst he was great, I’m not a fan, personally, of those large venues. I saw Zoe Lyons recently at the MAC (very convenient as I live in Kings Heath). A much better experience, I thought, as a much smaller venue …

in ballet. What did I know as I absolutely loved it!! We’ve been back to the Hippodrome to see a couple more ballets since, including The Nutcracker. That’s a great one to take the kids of course

Yes, I do like Jack Dee. I’m fortunate that the wife & I are both retired as are a number of our friends. We no longer have to rush to shows after work etc. but can now make a whole afternoon & evening of it. My wife bought tickets for Swan Lake a few years ago. My face dropped! Had zero interest ..
