The 3DS is that system I always wished I jumped on in the beginning of its lifecycle, and not when it was pretty much out the door. I guess the good thing about that was when I did get my 3DS, I had a lot of games to play!

Whenever there are small victories that go on in my life (not going to work this week, a game coming out, etc.), what I like to do is go ahead and have that extra cup of coffee—a celebratory coffee, as I call it.

Just when most of the snow from the previous snowstorm has melted away, we get a blizzard warning. I don’t mind the colder weather, in fact, I prefer it over the heat, but I just don’t want snow.

Holy cow, what a game!!! Go USA!!!

It is a four-panel image from the near-ending scene from the movie, The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. Each panel shows Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman) in the center of the scene, with Balin (played by Ken Stott) in the background. Each image, Bilbo is speaking and below is what he says in each panel. First panel: “If you are ever passing Bag End, uh…” Second panel: “tea is at 4.” Third panel: “You are welcome anytime.” Fourth panel: “Don’t bother knocking.”

This will forever be my favorite movie scene of all time. I tear up whenever Bilbo tells the dwarves they are welcome anytime you come visit him.

Holy cow. I didn’t realize how much getting sick really sucks the energy out of you. Thought “oh, I can get some writing done,” but have been in bed all day.

My 100th post here on BlueSky…woot!

Is there a terminology for when you're tired most of the day, but when it comes to actually lying down and going to sleep, you're now wide awake?

A cup of coffee and journaling to start off my Sunday, and the first of February. January took too long, in my opinion.

Company CEO spam Microsoft Teams meetings about the January Town Hall. They try to pump us up with EDM-style music, and our CEO is talking to us on his phone, holding it like he’s going to make a TikTok...

These town halls are hyped months in advance, and he couldn’t prepare himself?!

Look, I’m not an expert at writing alt text for images. Hell, I’m sure there are pictures on my posts that could’ve been worded better. But I’ve stumbled across some alt texts that might as well not be alt text at all. Putting “New pen,” and that’s it, is just pointless.

Three Years and Five Journals Down In this post, I write about how I've been journaling for three years now and have completed five journals. I write about the changes I have made in my journaling, from writing daily to filling the page. In my daily journaling, I reflect on my days, writing about what happened and any topics I want to go over. There are also daily letters to my future children that I talk about. And I finally discuss how I have bought too many journals, but would like to buy more.

Calling posts “skeets” on here just sounds weird.

I do wish offices had snow days. I’m working from home, but still—I’d rather not be working today!

It was Super Bowl XL, when the Seahawks played the Steelers, I decided to be annoying to my friends who were Steelers fans, to root for the Seahawks that game.

Twenty years later, I’m still rooting for the Seahawks, and they’re now going to the Super Bowl!!

Rematch.

You know what, part of me was really rooting for the Broncos to win that game. But let’s go Seahawks!!

My guilty pleasure is browsing the Facebook pages of card or game shops across the US, seeing posts about game nights and how happy the people who go there are.

If my algorithm on Bluesky, or if there were an easy way to find pages on Mastodon like this, I’d be browsing there too!
