one of the things that mildly annoyed me about flying the jett was trying to get up steep inclines, but the game just kinda doesn't want you to try to hop over steep slopes in the way that seemed intuitive to me. but it wasn't a big deal. a lot of the time you could force it until it worked too lol
i think that's a fair assessment. there's a fair amount of "yaaay you can fly the jett! now stop and listen and do this fiddly thing" in tfs lol. when you get to let loose it's fantastic
i think it was tough for it review-wise to go out as just The Far Shore for the first two years (probably didn't help it being epic-exclusive for that long either... shame)
but i don't think TFS was *so* incomplete without GT as to justify the difficult time it got
both sci-fi and mystical stuff going on. it tries to show people settling in a new land in a more ethical way, and i think it does decently in that.
design-wise it's unusual and opinionated. story-wise it's cinematic yet gentle. and i like it. 64% positive reviews out of 56 on steam. check it out
each half takes very different approaches to the same design: TFS is very guided and story-first while GT is much more free-roam. it's about people who take to the stars to find a new homeworld, and their attempts to re-found their civilisation on a strange new planet.
for me it's JETT: The Far Shore + Given Time
it's somewhere between being one game with two parts and two separate games. i played the first part (The Far Shore) when it came out and the second (Given Time) when that released about two years later. i enjoyed them both - it's a lovely world to be in
i'll go back and get 100% in it one day
i'll do my own repost and all but i really liked shadow labyrinth myself as well. the boldness to take something old and shove it in a weird new direction is something i really appreciated. and i enjoyed it! though very difficult, i think a patch has rebalanced some stuff since then
it's not particularly cheap in the grand scheme of laptops but for what it seems like you're getting? not too bad, seemingly
i still think 2-in-1 laptops are a good idea though so not for me
tbh the macbook neo is actually cheaper than i thought apple would make a "budget" laptop. they surprised me there
