discussing with my raccoon wife about adding a theta delta stained glass peice to the fence behind it as a backdrop

a round marble top with a dragon ashtray in the middle for burning with 4 stones in the cardinal directs around it to symbolise the elements. there is a black candle in a pentacle holder at the top of the altar and an incense holder at the bottom. there is a jar of burnables from local forests next to the altar (not pictured) that are placed into the center and lit with the candle during rituals. sometimes the flame is then transferred to the incense so it can be carried to a task somewhere else if it is needed.

to the left of the candle is a jar of eucalyptus oils given to me at a hekate ritual, to the left is a black crow to symbolise the element of spirit & the dead watching on. to either side of the middle are teo piles of bines, the one on the right also having a smooth pointed rock found in the river, suspected to be some sort of primitive tool and symbolising the heritage of this land. there is also a sundlower stem there from our old sunclower garden at our last house that was torn down by greedy landlords. there are two pink stones at the base of the altar for cleansing and grounding uses

finished my new altar yesterday! it's outdoors and exposed to the elements this time but these peices should be able to handle it and it will help connect it all to the earth more

need to plan out a ritual to open up the space today

Max Nordau lifted Cesare Lombroso's criminologist phrenology takes that people could be born criminals and you could measure this through physical traits, and applied it to modern art.

the idea that you can extrapolate morality from art is historically traced back through zionists and nazis. /2

anyone saying this shit needs to understand that the concept of "degenerate art" is DEEPLY rooted in horrifically racist, anti-semitic, anti-queer, and xenophobic nazi sentiment. they literally did exhibitions of modern art to stoke hostility towards anything that perverted aryan values. /1

sent to me: [a post with a screenshot of the chapter 1 dead space scene where Isaac first gets the plasma cutter in the room with CUT OFF THEIR LIMBS painted in blood on the wall captioned with "one of the biggest plot holes in dead space is earth not having a proletarian revolution yet when industrial tools are far more lethal than military weapons]

discuss

me: The tools by which revolution may be achieved changing has little bearing on the likelihood of revolution when class consciousness must be placed before the cart of direct action. Without organized solidarity, the worker exists in an individualist solitude, exposed to the fear of reprisal and restrained by it.

Dead Space says "cut off their limbs", but who does the cutting? There has been no proletarian uprising because you must do the cutting, not we. The concept of solidarity vanishes for the living, hijacked by the living possessed of power and credulity to be anesthetized, defanged, and buried in the morgues of the church of Unitology where it is made inert as it is sealed away, diverted beyond the grasp of living people to be reified only by a collective afterlife.

A bipedal red fox paints a rainbow across the sky. They have a determined look on their face.

To the right of the rainbow are segments of text from newspaper articles about grim news for LGBTQIA+ folks, especially trans folks.

On the left, there are flowers on the ground, with butterflies flittering about. The discouraging words are illegible faint smudges.

with where most are at currently, looking for saviours and appealing to authority to address issues, having an org that can educate at large, give aid where able & give tools on building local action is going to be key

maybe it's time some folks got together to do that...

27.02.2026 17:44 πŸ‘ 6 πŸ” 3 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

it takes time to build something that can address a global community, that's why most projects focus on local action. that and a tangible physical connection to land & others is vital to building real resilience

what i envision is a network of local groups collaborating together for larger projects

27.02.2026 17:44 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

we need a furry (or therian tbh) mutual aid network

this community is very interconnected and a lot of it's key players know eachother well but we spend all our time infighting instead of building together

our decentralisation is great but that doesn't mean u can't also be organised

27.02.2026 17:44 πŸ‘ 12 πŸ” 3 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

great that they're doing something but remember that right-wing think tanks have spent decades taking over courts in this country

we need to do more than "hope someone does something about this"
we need to operate beyond "the proper channels"

there is no appeal to authority under a corrupt system

Testing out some new paws with a whole costume look. I figured this alpaca wool poncho would work well to tie it all together.

The paws were made with FoxFire Fantasy’s pattern! Very cool! All costume pieces here made by me.

Fun fact, US passports did not have a gender marker until 1977, when a rising trend in unisex fashion started freaking the government out.

I know it’s difficult right now, but I insist that you seek and enjoy beautiful things, even if it seems frivolous or irresponsible in the face of overwhelming horror. I want you to feed yourself artistically, spiritually, and literally, because you can’t Do The Work when you’re starving.

This!! I think a LOT of furries out there are actually therian, but they're just too worried about whether they can call themselves that or not out of 1: fear of it being disrespectful if theyre wrong, or 2: fear of not meeting some perceived technicality they're not sure even actually exists
