I have a new article out in @uk.theconversation.com outlining my thoughts on the Bafta racial slur controversy and how the BBC failed in its editorial responsibility causing substantial and avoidable harm to the black and disabled communities.

This shows that the BBC is clearly at fault for irresponsible editing and microphone placement. However, I still feel like this is a missed opportunity for a proper apology on Davidson’s part - the involuntary nature doesn’t erase the very real impact of the slur for those on the receiving end
