It’s hoom’s 2nd favourite Thomas Hardy novel (1st is Far From The Madding Crowd). Hoom grew up close to where Tess murdered Alec and from Hardy’s description could almost pinpoint the actual house in which it happened.

Then yesterday we had an exhausting morning shopping in Southampton for lots of things (towels, bedding, underwear - replacing lots of things with holes in), so afterwards we treated ourselves to a trip to Cafe Thrive for burgers followed by cake.
We found ourselves in the Bear Bag on Tuesday. We had a train journey to London, where we had an early dinner (pizza with vegan pepperoni and vegan chicken pieces, followed by Biscoff Cheesecake) then we went to see Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. It was fab!
Yes, two monk bears live here.
We have quite a few bears from various cathedrals around the country, too!
A little bit longer ago: 1999 - 2001 as a postgrad in Cardiff, then reunions (singing all the services over the weekend) twice a year for a while before going down to once a year, and now once every two years. We did Exeter a few years ago. We’re singing in Salisbury in August.

Hoom's air pods stay firmly in her ears even when she's running. She never listens to her phone out loud in public and has never lost an air pod. And what's wrong with reading? Perfect, silent activity for a train journey.
Why do people on the train have to listen to their videos on the phone out loud instead of on headphones or earphones, and have phone conversations on video phone or speaker mode?
Hoom was baptised on 29th February, and it says 28th Feb on the certificate. We assume would be the same for birthdays.

We're in the UK, and it's wet and mild. The daffodils are starting to come out already, and there's a crocus on the lawn.
