Born 142 years ago today, the great Douglas Fairbanks stars as cinema's first Zorro in THE MARK OF ZORRO (1920). He's magnificent – charming and charismatic, acrobatic and heroic – and his genre-defining performance would usher in an age of cinematic swashbucklers, with many of the greats played by Fairbanks himself.
