Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century.

He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 times.

The sudden rise of scabies: ‘I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy’ These microscopic mites, which burrow under your skin and cause ferocious itching, are incredibly hard to get rid of – and cases in the UK have soared. What is causing the outbreak, and is there anyth...

I believe the rise in scabies cases is systemic and linked to failing care systems. The places we see this issue reoccur is where there’s workforce casualisation: no one takes responsibility to treat it, the client cannot manage it and the issue becomes chronic www.theguardian.com/science/2026...

The child welfare system doesn’t help families. We more accurately call it the family policing system. This collage features news articles about the child welfare system tearing families apart and shows a picture of a Black mother holding an infant.

Coal power generation falls in China and India for first time since 1970s ‘Historic’ moment in biggest coal-consuming countries could bring decline in global emissions, analysis says

This is huge: For the first time since the early 1970s, coal power generation has fallen in both China & India.

It undercuts claims that decarbonisation is pointless while they expand coal. Renewables are no longer just adding capacity — they’re displacing coal.

We'll say it again: "social cohesion", when uttered by the holders of political and social power and privilege, means simply the maintenance of the dominant culture and silencing of any challenge to it.
