In addition to cover design and editing, the costs associated with self publishing come from marketing. You can put something on Amazon, but it won't be seen unless you market it. I've tried both unpaid PR and paid ads. So far, I haven't found anything that works, but I continue to research this

Check out The Indie Author Project. Some libraries will carry local authors’ books if you submit thru IAP. My local library has an online submission form for indie authors.

FWIW, it's the age issue for my younger Dem family members (we don't live in Maine, to be clear). Across the board, they're done with anyone over 55 representing them in office.

I don’t think this will work. Bush had support cuz of 9/11. Trump told his base he obliterated Irans nuke abilities & fired insiders who said we hadn’t. It looks like we were pulled in by Israel. He campaigned as peace president & I had MAGA friends who voted for him based on that. He’s a warmonger

I get where you're coming from, but I believe it's NOT a gender issue. A lot of Dems want a fighter & someone who seems to stand up for everyday folks. The centrists/older Dems are at a disadvantage now. I'm not from Maine. But this seems like the issue here. My adult kids are over the geriatrics.
