It was a pleasure to join local Lib Dems at the Big Iftar at Baitul Futuh Mosque in Morden.

Great to hear Cllr Hina Bokhari speak and a message from Ed Davey via video.

Mohamed Al Fayed: Three women interviewed by police on suspicion of sex trafficking The women have been interviewed under suspicion of aiding and abetting rape and human trafficking, the Met Police says.

This is a positive step but the Met must upgrade this to a full trafficking investigation, with sufficient resources.

My constituent was one of the 100s of victims abused by Mohamed Al-Fayed & his cronies.

They deserve justice, not token gestures.

I enjoyed chairing this year’s first meeting of the APPG for the Republic of Korea.

It was interesting hearing from Professor John Nilsson-Wright of Cambridge University, who shared ideas on the politics in the region & the relationship between the UK & the Republic of Korea.

Tomorrow, Wimbledon Police Station will close to the public.

This is a real & worrying loss for our community.

I've just handed in a petition signed by nearly 4000 residents, asking the Mayor & Labour Council to think again.

A lovely visit to St John Fisher Primary this morning.

I answered some tough questions the students had on parliament life, and discussed key issues with the Head such as SEND.

It was a pleasure to visit St George’s Hospital & meet with the management team again.

We discussed progress made since the CQC’s critical report into maternity & A&E services, and I pressed again for the Queen Mary’s minor injuries unit to be restored as a walk-in service.

My constituent was one of 100s of victims abused by Britain’s Epstein, Mohamed Al-Fayed & his cronies.

I asked the Prime Minister to ensure sufficient resources are committed to fully investigating this multi-perpetrator, multi-jurisdictional, multi-decade trafficking outrage.

Very concerned about serious incident on Wimbledon Broadway last night. My thoughts go out to all those affected.

Thanks to officers attending from nearby Wimbledon police station. I’m in close communication with BCU commander and will endeavour to keep constituents informed.

If you were in vicinity of Wimbledon Broadway last night & can help police in their enquiries, please come forward.

This tragic murder is terrible reminder that even in somewhere as safe as Wimbledon we’re not immune from evil scourge of knife crime.

The Mayor & the Met had promised there would be at least one 24hr police counter in every borough.

With Merton now losing public access to both its police stations, I spoke to BBC London about the impact on vulnerable residents.

I spoke to BBC London about the impact of losing public access to both of our local police stations in Merton in two weeks’ time.

Residents are rightly concerned about what this means for community safety & trust in policing.

It was good to sit down with Sangeeta, the Postmistress at Wimbledon Post Office, to discuss the imminent closure.

I know many of my constituents are understandably concerned about losing this service. We’re now contacting the council to explore options, including a new site.

I welcome the Met Police’s major operation across Merton, with 23 arrests & dangerous drugs, weapons & firearms taken off our streets.

Bus services are critical for my constituents - in some cases they're the only public transport options available.

Following the recent announcement from operator Go Ahead, I've written to Sadiq Khan, asking for guarantees about the future of local bus services.

In 2018, I used legal action to stop Sadiq Khan closing Wimbledon Police Station.

Now, Lib Dem colleagues on Richmond Council are doing the same to protect their last public-facing police station.

It’s disappointing Merton’s Labour Council won’t do the same here.
