Why Escalation Favors Iran
America and Israel may have bitten off more than they can chew.

FAO Food Price Index rises in February for first time in five months
New forecasts also point to reduced wheat plantings in 2026 as farmers respond to lower prices.
Food prices were already rising before this latest war began... with oil and fertilizer prices rising, food prices are likely to rise further and drive up world food insecurity.

Planting trees is a vital strategy to combat both climate change and the biodiversity crisis. As forests grow, they sponge carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and provide renewed habitat forโฆ
My latest for @mongabay.com: Planting trees helps fight climate change & restore biodiversity. But a new study finds that land-intensive carbon removal projects like reforestation or bioenergy crops often overlap with global biodiversity hotspots.

The Most Chilling Detail in the U.S. Attack on an Iranian Naval Ship
The Iranian warship was taking part in an international exercise with many other countriesโincluding the United States.
This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

Iran conflict: Rubio says US launched war on Iran after learning Israel planned to attack
Secretary of state says US had to move โpreemptivelyโ to stop Iranian retaliation against American forces
so let me get this straight. attacking iran is justified because iran was going to attack US bases, only after israel attacked iran first. so instead of stopping israel from carrying out the attack, the US just had to bomb iran too.
