Labour lawyers ‘blocked’ from briefing MPs on jury trials overhaul before vote
Leader of rebel group says there is deep concern within Society of Labour Lawyers about courts and tribunals bill
This is shocking. Labour lawyers ‘blocked’ from briefing MPs on jury trials overhaul before vote. The Prime Minister is completely out of control on this. MPs must come together and stop him from undermining & restricting a fundamental cornerstone of our democracy

Mothin Ali - on point as ever. It is humbling to see that a community gardener from Gipton & Harehills holds more integrity in his little finger than the entire Westminster political Elite.

Ending world hunger costs less than 1% of military spending
Ending hunger by 2030 would cost just $93 billion a year — well under one per cent of the $21.9 trillion spent on military budgets over the past decade, according to UN estimates.
With the US military spending $1 billion a day on a pedophile's whims, remember that the UN estimates that it costs about $93 billion to end world hunger.
The *first* 93 days of this decade+ war, could be spent ending world hunger, if anyone in power actually wanted to

Greens deputy leader calls for apology from Starmer over false claims that led to death threats
Mothin Ali fears for his life after anti-war protest was wrongly described as being in support of Iranian regime
Thank you @mothinali.bsky.social. The Tories have a well-documented history of Islamophobia, having been called out by @sayeedawarsi.bsky.social repeatedly since 2014.
There is no place for Islamophobia in politics.

NHS official pushed to add patient data to Palantir platform whilst also advising company
A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.
Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.
This absolutely stinks. Get Palantir out of the NHS. Sign my petition:

🎉 Democracy wins! The government has scrapped ministers’ power to influence the Electoral Commission.
The Strategy and Policy Statement risked political interference - now it’s gone!
This is a significant step towards rebuilding public trust. Free and fair elections rely on an impartial referee.

This is a defamatory lie @AlecShelbrooke. I am proudly anti-war and anti-racist. I make no apologies for attending a Stop the War protest. That does not mean I support the Iranian regime. I dare you to repeat your libellous statement outside of parliament.

Dont agree. Why vote at all in that case? As a citizen I have to vote for the policies I want to see. If the greens tagged along with McSweeney's BS the situation would only get worse, the overton window would shift further right. Reform would get in. Stand your ground

This mess is on them. In a democracy other political parties are allowed to stand and campaign like they want to win. Its the job of legislators to facilitate this. I really, really want Hannah to win tomorrow.

No, it means our electoral system isnt fit for purpose, Labour membership wanted it, voted for it but Starmer unilaterally blocked it. Starmer, Farage and the current Labour administration have been the biggest drivers to GP.

A graphic showing an image of the Palace of Westminster overlaid with the text "Unfairness is rocket fuel for the politics of resentment; when people feel the political establishment doesn’t recognise or value their voice, they lose trust in the politics of collaboration and start listening to the loudest, angriest alternative."
We need an electoral revolution.
