Yes true seems Cali had a number of smaller grid batteries by then but unsure if they were grid stabilisers or not. Point being the new Scottish battery is very welcome news and will help the UK grid in numerous ways, but is not the first grid battery by a long way.

I thought Hornsdale in South Australia grid was first to use batteries for grid stability in 2017 Jan?
