Kids are coming up to the microphone telling the crowd why they want the bike lanes to stay.
For them, it's about getting to high school, independence, freedom, and safety.
It's never been clearer that we need more ways to get safely from A to B, not less.

This is why it’s crucial that hardworking RNs, PSWs and other skilled caregivers are fairly compensated, supported and equipped to do what they do best – care.
It’s great to see the innovative and vital work being done by the O’Neill Centre and their staff to foster a warm long-term care community that truly feels like home for their residents at Christie Pits.
This is crucial for us to deliver the high-quality, public care that every patient deserves.
This would mean that nurses are able to spend more time caring for patients, and that more nurses are able to continue practicing in Ontario.
Nurse to patient ratios need to change - it’s that simple.
Yesterday, I joined nurses, other medical professionals and the Ontario Nurses Association outside Toronto General Hospital to call for safe nurse to patient ratios in Ontario’s hospitals and healthcare facilities.
It’s vital that our nurses have safe working conditions and are paid a fair wage.
Thank you University–Rosedale, for putting your trust in me to represent you. Yesterday, I was sworn in again as your MPP.
Being an elected official is a privilege, a responsibility and an honour. I pledge to do my very best to serve all of us well at Queen’s Park.
That means dealing with the threat of Trump and tariffs with everything we've got.
The people of Ontario have told us we need to keep fighting for publicly funded + delivered healthcare, to build more homes, and to build a tariff-proof economy that works for everyone.
Our team is ready to work.
We are represented by teachers, farmers, city builders, labour leaders, and people from so many fields and perspectives. We represent all corners of Ontario, from downtown Toronto, to the North.
We came together today to debrief the election, and plan for the coming four years.
We are back.
We hosted our first Ontario NDP caucus meeting today at Queens Park, as Ontario's Official Opposition.
I reflected on the MPPs in our caucus, including our new representatives, Alexa Gilmour, Dr Robin Lennox and Catherine McKenney.
To the people of University–Rosedale, I have two simple words to say – Thank You.
It is an honour and privilege to serve as your MPP, and I’m ready to continue fighting for the community we call home.
I look forward to us working together in the days, months and years to come.
